Started in the POD Sept 3. 1963 as a PTF. During my career in Postal Service started working at the AMF. Made Regular and went to the Plant. Worked the Truck Terminal and went to Station and Branches. Was union steward for the APWU, went back to the plant became Chief Grievance Officer for tour 2. In 1997 became a Netwroks Specialist, joined NAPS, and retired as such in 2002. Stayed on as an Associate member of NAPS.
Served 4 years in the Marine Crops, Sept 1955 to Sept 1959.
Would have stayed on longer but saw what was coming down the road in the future especcially with the EVA, NVA, PFP orwhat ever and decided it was time to go. Glad I did because there is no such thing as dedication with the higher ups and the good ole boys and girls clubs and nepotism is thriving within the Postal Service today. This is the downfall of the USPS as we once knew it.
